Goldmedia appoints Dr Mathias Wierth as new associate partner

Amazon Prime Instant Video leads German VOD market

Amazon Prime Instant Video is currently the most-used video-on-demand (VOD) service in Germany with a market share of 33.2%. iTunes (Apple) and maxdome (ProSiebenSat.1) follow with 11.3% each.

German VOD market to grow to €750m

German broadband TV channels top 1,200

Germany boosts 1,275 video sites

Every day Germans view about 151 million videos, according to the Web TV Monitor 2010 published by the Bavarian media authority BLM, based on research by Goldmedia. The survey also found that there are currently around 1,275 video sites and portals.

Goldmedia to undertake web TV survey

The Berlin strategy consultant Goldmedia is to undertake a web TV survey, commissioned by BLM, the Bavarian Regulatory Authority for Commercial Broadcasting. Known as Web TV Monitor 2010, it will provide a market overview of internet TV in Germany for the first time.
