Despite intense competition, television and radio continue to dominate media consumption in Germany.
German consultancy and research company Goldmedia has started data collection for the fourth edition of its Web-TV-Monitor, Germany’s largest study on the reach, usage and development of the online TV market.
The largest European cable operators expect an accelerated growth with an average turnover increase of 6% per year until 2016. Two years ago, they expected a yearly increase of 5%.
The total turnover in the German video-on-demand (VOD) market will rise to around €750 million by 2019.
