RTL Nederland has acquired the Dutch radio station Slam!FM and the digital TV chnanel Slam!TV from its owner Lex Harding. No financial details were issued.
RTL Nederland has launched its new VOD portal RTLXL.nl. The new site brings together the catch-up TV site RTL Gemist as well as premium movies, ‘video snacks’ and TV series, both for pay and free-to-view.
YouTube and RTL Nederland have signed an agreement to bring the daily soap Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden (Good Times, Bad Times) to the online video portal. New full length episodes will become available on a daily basis immediately after airing on RTL4 and are free to view.

Dutch IPTV provider KPN Interactieve TV has added four channels from RTL Nederland to its line-up of HD channels.
The catch-up TV service from RTL Nederland, RTL Gemist, is now available on the Philips NetTV platform. The service is free to use for viewers and every request for a video stream will be preceded by a commercial pre-roll.
RTL Nederland has launched a TV news service aimed at mobile telephones. RTL Nieuws will send an overview of the latest news consisting of 1-minute videos twice a day. In the case of breaking news, additional new videos will be sent.
Radio 538, part of RTL Nederland, plans to launch its own TV channel in early 2010. Jan-Willem Brüggenwirth, the broadcaster’s CEO, said in an interview with Broadcast Magazine that he is already negotiating carriage deals on cable companies’ digital tiers.
