Sony has officially announced details of its standalone web TV box, called the SMP-N100 Network Media Player, which will now launch on the European market. The box has been some time available in the US giving users access to online services such as Netflix, YouTube, Amazon and Pandora.

Apple premieres new Apple TV for $99
Following days of speculation, Apple has announced the new Apple TV for the “breakthrough price” of $99 (€77.5). Apple TV users can rent HD movies (for $4.99) and HD TV show episodes from ABC, ABC Family, Fox, Disney Channel and BBC America for 99 cents.
Sky adds Mobile TV to iPhone
Sky has made its Mobile TV service available to users of the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch. The broadcaster has introduced a Sky Mobile TV App to Apple’s App Store that delivers live TV over Wi-Fi on payment of a £6 monthly fee.
EyeTV streams live TV to the iPhone
Elgato, the maker of the EyeTV television reception software, has released an iPhone application that makes it possible to stream live TV from the Apple Mac computer at home to anywhere in the world.
