Sharp growth at Orange TV

Subscriptions to Orange TV benefitted from a 29% increase over the last 12 months with 967,000 net additions across the group. 300,000 new subscribers were added in the first quarter.

Orange passes 4 million TV subs, Technicolor tunes up new Livebox

The France Telecom IPTV juggernaut continued its path through Europe during 2010. The telco has announced it held a total of 4,118,000 subscribers as of December 31, 2010, including 3,505,000 in France itself, with Poland taking up much of the remaining numbers that also include satellite subscribers.

Double movie exclusive for Orange 3D

Orange TV is to screen two 3D exclusives as it launches the stereoscopic format on its video on demand platform this December. The announcement comes hot on the heels of the debut of a dedicated 3D channel on rival Numericable.

Orange 3D available FTA on Hot Bird

VIDEO. Two 3D HD channels are currently broadcasting from the Hot Bird position at 13 degrees East, one of them transmitting free-to-air. French private broadcaster TF1 announced it will broadcast five FIFA World Cup games in 3D.

Orange: new box, more channels

Orange TV introduces new hybrid boxes

The French IPTV operator Orange has announced the release of a new generation of hybrid IPTV boxes for its subscribers. To be introduced during 2010, the new box will incorporate a variety of tuners, including DVB-T MPEG-4, suitable for terrestrial HD reception and one with a satellite tuner.

Orange TV add Arabic kids channels
