The sudden departure of Bert Habets as CEO of the RTL Group has an unusual aftermath, with the Group refusing to discharge him.
In a surprise move, Bert Habets has decided to resign as CEO and member of the Board of RTL Group quoting personal considerations. Thomas Rabe is the new CEO.
RTL Group does not intend to accept ProSiebenSat.1’s invitation to participate in the latter’s joint German streaming venture with Discovery for the time being.
