Ex-RTL CEO Bert Habets to head Antenna Group

Antenna Group has appointed Bert Habets to the position of CEO.

In his new role he will oversee the free TV, pay-TV, OTT, content, radio, digital, music, publishing and education divisions on all multi-platforms of the group, which currently reaches a global audience of over 150 million.

According to Antenna Group, Habets, formerly the CEO of RTL Group, possesses profound experience and knowledge of leading global media businesses with responsibility for strategy, production and digital ventures together with extensive expertise in launching streaming video services across a number of regions
.
Commenting on the appointment, Theodore Kyriakou, chairman, Antenna Group, said: “I am pleased to welcome Bert to Antenna Group. His vast operational experience and strategic mindset will significantly contribute to our growth plans as we continue to embrace new technologies and new markets”.

Habets added: “I am really thrilled to join the Antenna Group. Its strong track record in combination with its ambition to grow and lead the ongoing transformation in the media industry makes this a very exciting and interesting role.

I am looking forward to working with Theo and the Antenna colleagues to embark onto new arrays of growth in these fascinating times”.
