The consolidated revenues of ProSiebenSat.1 Group declined by 7.9% during the third quarter of 2009 to €559.4 million (Q3 2008, adjusted for CMore: €607.6 million). The Group said it was able to offset the decline in revenues by consistent cost management.
ProSiebenSat.1 channels remain free-to-air
Contrary to some news reports, the German private channels Pro Sieben, Sat.1 and Kabel 1 will remain free-to-air, according to Thomas Ebeling, CEO of ProSiebenSat.1. However, the broadcaster is looking at other income streams to make up for lost advertising revenues.
