The German adaption of Endemol’s reality series Celebrity Big Brother (in German: Promi Big Brother) which will launch on August 15, 2014 at 20.15 CET on commercial TV channel Sat.1 will be accompanied by a live-stream at maxdome.
Four channels from the ProSiebenSat.1 group will remain on digital terrestrial in Bavaria.
German private broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 is planning to launch a new channel, Sat.1 Gold, with an emphasis on German language drama (TV series and movies) to counteract competition from the public broadcasters.

This Sunday, January 31, the three main channels from the ProSiebenSat.1 Group will join the Astra HD+ platform. Originally scheduled for January 1, Sat.1, ProSieben and kabel eins will now be available in HD on satellite.
The consolidated revenues of ProSiebenSat.1 Group declined by 7.9% during the third quarter of 2009 to €559.4 million (Q3 2008, adjusted for CMore: €607.6 million). The Group said it was able to offset the decline in revenues by consistent cost management.
Contrary to some news reports, the German private channels Pro Sieben, Sat.1 and Kabel 1 will remain free-to-air, according to Thomas Ebeling, CEO of ProSiebenSat.1. However, the broadcaster is looking at other income streams to make up for lost advertising revenues.
