German broadcaster Mainstream Media is launching its FAST Channels Filmgold, Strong Women and World of Freesports on Amazon Freevee.
Viewers in Germany and Austria can receive the channels launched in autumn 2022 on the free, ad-financed streaming platform.
“For us, entering the FAST world was an important step into the future of streaming. We see this new way of media distribution as the ideal way to transfer the advantages of linear television to the digital market. We have already had great success with Amazon in recent years. Freevee is therefore the logical next step for us in this cooperation,” said Tim Werner, CEO of Mainstream Media.
The media company has been offering its pay-TV package ‘Fernsehen mit Herz’ on Amazon Prime Video Channels since December 2018.
