tpc gears up Swiss SRG for UHD with Nevion

Swiss broadcast service provider tpc has selected the VideoIPath orchestration and SDN control solution developed by Norwegian media production solutions provider Nevion for a new IP-based facility for Swiss public broadcaster SRG.

SRG Switzerland to show FIFA World Cup 2018 in Ultra HD

Swiss public broadcaster SRG will transmit the FIFA Football World Cup 2018 on its channels live in Ultra HD. This was confirmed to Broadband TV News by an SRG spokesman.

SRG Switzerland makes HD move on Hot Bird

The countdown has started: Swiss public broadcaster SRG SSR will switch off the SD versions of its TV channels for DTH satellite households on Eutelsat Hot Bird (13° East) and transmit the channels exclusively in HD quality from February 29, 2016.
