German telco Deutsche Telekom is integrating streaming service Paramount+ into its MagentaTV platform from April 2024.
Paramount+ offers films and series from Hollywood, including the Star Trek franchise, Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone series, all episodes of children’s series Paw Patrol and the Mission: Impossible films with Tom Cruise.
MagentaTV customers will be able to sign up to Paramount+ both as with monthly cancellation option and as a twelve-month subscription. Customers opting for a 12-month contract will receive the first three months free of charge. The basic monthly price for both models is €7.99.
Paramount+ will be integrated on all Telekom Android TV devices (MagentaTV One, MagentaTV Stick), in the MagentaTV WebClient and in the MagentaTV app on iOS and Android mobile. In addition, the Paramount+ app will be available on other reception devices such as Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and all common smart TVs and can be used there with the ‘Paramount+ by Telekom’ option.
“We are delighted that we can now also offer our customers access to the rich content universe of Paramount+. Our aim with MagentaTV is to unite all relevant providers under one roof and thus be the best aggregator for all target groups. The integration of Paramount+ has brought us a big step closer to this goal,” said Arnim Butzen, Head of TV at Deutsche Telekom.
