Telecom Italia (TIM) has renewed its deal with streaming service DAZN for continued carriage of Italy’s top-flight Serie A football for the next five seasons.
Reuters reported TIM will pay up to €46 million per year to keep Serie A on its TimVision platform.
In October clubs agreed to a new deal with DAZN worth a combined €900 million a year for the TV rights from the 2024/25 season through until 2028/29. DAZN will have seven exclusive matches on each match day, representing 266 matches per season, a further 3 games per match day (114 per season) will be shared with Sky Italia.
In 2021, TIM signed an initial three year deal worth €340 million per year, but that was later restructured to become a non-exclusive arrangement.
