Swisscom will launch TV-Box 5, a new receiver powered by Android TV, on October 24.
TV-Box 5 will be 35% more energy efficient and half the size of its predecessor. It will integrate the entire Google world, giving blue TV customers, should they wish, full access to all Android TV services when signing in with a Google account.
Swisscom blue TV customers can also now receive Disney+. The ‘Standard with advertising’ model for Switzerland is available for CHF7.90 (€8.3) per month. For customers wanting to avoid advertisements, a Standard, ad-free Disney+ model is available for CHF12.90, as well as a new Premium model for CHF17.90, which supports Ultra HD streaming in 4K and HDR in addition to four simultaneous streams.
With its blue SuperMax annual subscription, Swisscom is also launching an exclusive package combining Disney+, Paramount+, Sky Cinema and blue Max for CHF24.90 per month: a saving of more than 35% compared to the individual prices.
According to Swisscom executive board member Dirk Wierzbitzki, “for me as a film lover, it’s like Christmas and New Year rolled into one.
“This is precisely what blue TV has stood for over the past 17 years – bringing together what belongs together for our customers and offering them the whole world of entertainment”.
