Deutsche Telekom adds Pluto TV to MagentaTV

June 20, 2023 08.55 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Deutsche Telekom is integrating the free, ad-financed streaming service Pluto TV into its TV platform MagentaTV.

As part of the cooperation agreed between the German telco and Pluto TV operator Paramount, MagentaTV customers will be able to access more than 150 FAST Channels with series, movies, comedy, sports and documentaries from June 28, 2023.

The spectrum ranges from Pluto TV Star Trek and Pluto TV Anime to X-Factor, SpongeBob SquarePants, South Park and Beverly Hills 90210 to Pluto TV History. In addition, Pluto TV has more than 1,000 hours of content in the accompanying on-demand library, which can also be accessed via MagentaTV.

“With the Pluto TV app, we are now expanding our linear TV offer with high-quality content from numerous genres – at no extra charge. In addition, we are introducing our customers for the first time to the innovation topic of FAST Channels, which will become increasingly important for the MagentaTV platform in the future,” said Arnim Butzen, Head of TV at Telekom.
