The Walt Disney Company’s streaming service Disney+ will be available in 42 new countries and 11 new territories this week following today’s June 14) debut in Greece, Turkey and Central and Eastern Europe.
The latest launches follow that in South Africa on May 18 and the Middle East and North Africa region on June 8. With Israel welcoming the service this Thursday (June 18), Disney+ will be available in a total of 60 countries across EMEA.
In a related development, LG Electronics has announced that the Disney+ app is now available on compatible LG TVs, running webOS from 2017 or later, in over 40 new countries and territories across Africa, Europe and the Middle East. As a result, LG now offers the Disney+ app on compatible LG TVs in over 90 countries worldwide.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, in Poland Disney+ is initially being offered exclusively by four platforms – Polsat Box, Plus, Netia and Polsat Box Go – operated by Polsat Plus Group.
