French film information channel Allociné is creating ten themed channels on YouTube.
The Webedia group, owners of the channel, said the goal is to reach 500,000 to one million subscribers per channel. There will be ten thematic channels (comedy, fantasy, entertainment, action, kids, thriller, cult, more) will offer trailers, excerpts, cinema schools of the week, interviews, etc)
The company also owns the brands jeuxvideo.com (video games), 750g (food) and PurePeople, to accelerate its expansion on Youtube, and is the seventh biggest brand on internet in France with 18.5 million unique monthly visitors, mainly thanks to jeuxvideo.com (purchased this year for EUR90 million) and Allociné (acquired in 2013).
YouTube channels from Webedia already represent 15 million monthly views and three million subscribers, with 15,000 videos published. For 2015, the group aims 50 million views per month for its channels. The group is also in talks to acquire millenium.org, one of the first French sites devoted to video games.
