Slovenia’s TV3 is now expected to go off the air at the end of this month.
News of the station’s closure was first released at the beginning of this year, when Modern Times Group (MTG) announced a realignment of its activities in Central and Eastern Europe.
It is understood to be exiting Slovenia due to a difficult environment that sees the TV industry dominated by Pop TV/Kanal A, both which are owned by CME.
TV3 was launched in 1995 and initially operated as a religious channel.
It was taken over by MTG in 2006 and reverted to its original name, having previously been rebranded as Prva TV.
