No more so than in high definition, where the organization will demonstrate the possibilities involved in 1080p/50 transmission, through live end-to-end 1080p/50 transmissions between Frankfurt, Geneva and Amsterdam.
Across web TV, connected TV and the emerging companion devices, the EBU will provide comparisions between the 1080p HDTV format, between H.264 and VP8 for web-based video encoding.
The EBU’s involvement in hybrid TV – including both HbbTV and MHP (yes, MHP) – through demos from France Télévisions, ARD, ZDF and RAI.
