EU approval of Vodafone/Unitymedia cable deal faces legal action

German network operators Deutsche Telekom, Tele Columbus and NetCologne are taking legal action against the European Commission’s decision to approve the controversial takeover of Liberty Global’s German cable company Unitymedia by Vodafone.

European court backs Russian channel ban

The Court of Justice of the European Union has ruled in favour of the Lithuanian Radio and Television Commission (LRTK) imposing a temporary ban on NTV Mir Lithuania.

Euro court says ISPs can block piracy sites

The Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) ruled on Thursday, March 27, that Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in Europe can legally block piracy sites that illegally distribute copyright-protected material.
