BC Partners is reportedly considering a sale of United Group as a whole, including Nova in Greece, and the SBB cablenet in Serbia.
Its estimated that the sale could fetch up to 2 billion Euros.
The story was first reported by the Greek publication Ekathimerinim.
The Belgrade-based Vreme learnt that BC Partners has initiated the process of selling a majority stake in United Group, and has hired investment banks Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan.
It’s expected that a public tender will be launched.
BC Partners currently owns 55% of the shares in United, which were bought from the KKR investment fund in March 2019 for €2.6 billion.
BC Partners has declined to comment on the reports.
