Romania’s Digi has reported a “substantial increase” in revenue generating units (RGUs) across mobile telephony, broadband and TV.
The company said it enjoyed a 15% increase in all three of its markets of operation – Romania, Spain and Italy – as customers added additional services. At the end of 2023, the company had 23.9 million RGUs.
Romania alone registered an 18% increase in RGUs, where the pay-TV segment (cable and satellite) saw a 5% increase over 2022 to 5.7 million RGU.
Revenues increased by 13% year-on-year, reaching €451.6 million.
Adjusted EBITDA reached €141.4 million in Q4 2023, an increase of 24% compared to the previous year
Serghei Bulgac, CEO of Digi Communications, said: “Digi Communications experienced remarkable growth in 2023. Our core markets, Romania and Spain, continued to be highly competitive last year, but this did not impact negatively on our growth rates.”
