IPTV service provider Ocilion is expanding its TV platform with the new German free-TV channel DF1.
The successor of ServusTV Deutschland, which launched on January 1, 2024, shows programmes previously part of ServusTV’s lineup, original productions and documentaries as well as live sports in cooperation with DAZN.
Viewers are not only able to watch DF1’s programmes live, but also time-shifted – with a recording function, 7-day replay and pause/play. The licence agreement includes the rights for both IPTV and DVB-C distribution.
“With DF1, a very exciting channel has launched, combining live sports with exciting formats, which will not only work great in linear but also non-linear distribution. I’m delighted that we are licencing this channel as one of the first IPTV platforms in Germany,” said Thomas Bichlmeir, Head of Content at Ocilion.
