Comcast has reported increased revenues of 2.3% with Peacock continuing to position itself as the fastest growing streaming service in the United States.
In its domestic market, paid subscribers to Peacock nearly doubled compared to 2022, with the streaming service accruing net additions of 3 million in the fourth quarter to reach 31 million. Peacock Revenue increased by 57% to pass $1 billion in quarterly revenue for the first time.
Total Customer Relationships for Connectivity & Platforms, which includes Sky’s operations out of the UK, Germany and Italy, decreased by 183,000 to 52.1 million. 111,000 of these were international, which now represent 17,847,000.
Previously reported total Sky customer relationships of approximately 23 million as of December 31, 2022 also included approximately 5 million customer relationships receiving Sky services in Germany.
Revenue for Connectivity & Platforms was consistent with the comparable period in 2022. However, Adjusted EBITDA increased, however it wasn’t completely plain sailing with an increase in operating expenses at Sky Deutschland, due to higher Bundesliga costs compared to the prior year period when games were paused for four weeks to accommodate the timing of the FIFA World Cup.
