Dorota Gawryluk has been promoted to the newly created position of MD of the thematic channels division at Poland’s Telewizja Polsat and the Polsat plus Group, effective December 1.
Her area of responsibility includes the Polsat Box Go streaming service, which is key to the development of the Polsat Plus Group. Meanwhile, Piotr Witwicki will take up the position of director of the information and journalism division.
At the same time, the TV4 and TV6 channels division is incorporated into the programming division. The changes being introduced are aimed at adapting the group’s structure to the rapidly changing electronic media market, in particular television and video content.
According to Miroslaw B?aszczyk, president of the management board of the Polsat Plus Group, “Dorota Gawryluk is one of the leading managers of the Polsat Plus Group and we decided to use her management competences in an area that is key to our future. Hence, she was entrusted with responsibility for the quick and more effective development of Polsat Television’s thematic channels and strengthening the content of the Polsat Box Go streaming service. The share of thematic channels in the market and in the structure of our revenues is systematically growing. We also see a definite need to strengthen the position of the Polsat Box Go service”.
Gawryluk, as MD, will report directly to the president of the management board. Previously she reported to a member of the management board.
Piotr Witwicki will be responsible for direct operational management of channels, portals and websites in the information area of the Polsat Plus Group.The area of information and journalism in the Polsat Plus Group is the main, flagship news channel Polsat News, Wydarzenia 24, Polsat News 2 and the portals Interia.pl (including Wydarzenia.Interia.pl) and Polsatnews.pl. He will report to the member of the management board responsible for this area.
