The Ukrainian regulator National Council has confirmed the winners of licences to broadcast national TV channels on the multiplexes MX-1, MX-2 and MX-5.
A licence on MX-1 was awarded to Vizhn 4 (Bidugi), based in Kyiv. Meanwhile, four channels were made available on MX-2, with the winners being International Commercial Television and Radio Company (ICTV) (ICTV 2), Kyiv; Khmarochos Media, (OTSE), Kyiv; Vizhn 1+1 (1+1 Ukraine), Kyiv; and Streamline Media (My-Ukraine+), Kyiv.
Only one slot was made available on MX-5 and it was awarded to Telekanal STB (Your series (combined)), Kyiv.
Three other applicants, namely: Content Management Group (Konkurent), Lutsk, Volyn region;NGO Society Pravo hrodydy (Free Radio of the Royal City), Zhovkva, Lviv region; PE Studio-7 (Radio Svityaz), Kovel, Volyn region, were refused participation in the competition due to the fact that they did not correspond to the national territorial category.
They also failed to submit a complete package of documents in their applications.
