The Polish media group MWE Networks has announced changes to its top management and relocation of its headquarters to Cyprus.
In a note, its founder Michal Winnicki said that “we’ve reached a point where it’s time to hand over leadership to those who are better than me. Marcin Kowalski will become chairman of the board of directors of all media companies in the group, while Karol Warda will be promoted to the position of VP”.
He added: I’m leaving the company with 13 fully commercialised TV channels and 4 new ones ready to launch in the coming weeks. The entire team of over 30 specialists is well trained and ready to fight for more. The new headquarters provides even better working conditions and the opportunity to explore new areas. We want to operate not only in television, but also in the area of broadly understood entertainment and technology. Interactive content and AI are something that turns us all on.
I’m not saying goodbye. I’m saying see you soon, but not just on TV anymore!”
Broadband TV News notes that MWE Networks is both a TV channel operator and distributor as well as the operator of terrestrial TV multiplexes. Aside from Poland, it also has a presence in the Czech Republic and Lithuania.
