New customers are still interested in launching terrestrial TV channels in the Czech Republic, according to Marcel Prochazka, director of legal and regulatory affairs at the national transmission company CRA.
Speaking in an interview with Atmedia, he added that the CRA is currently in negotiations with several, some of whom are not yet active on the Czech market. It is currently broadcasting two channels in test positions on Multiplex 23 that will be launched this autumn. It also has space foe another six or seven more on the multiplex, which has national coverage.
CRA also operates a regional multiplex (8) that covers around 35% of the population, covering Prague and other regional cities. It currently distributes three regional channels and has room for six more.
