NBC News NOW has begun the simulcast of Sky News Today with Wilfred Frost.
The programme will run at 05.00 ET/10.00 GMT and will feature international breaking news, on-the-ground and in-depth reporting from Sky News’ award-winning correspondents and interviews with key newsmakers.
“We’re delighted that Sky News Today with Wilfred Frost will be NBC News NOW’s first programme originating from out of the US, and that more people around the world will be able to watch our award-winning journalism,” said Sky News Group Executive Chairman David Rhodes.
However, Frost will have to wait a little longer for his NBC News debut. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s sacking of foreign secretary Suella Braverman and the appointment of former Prime Minister David Cameron in her place led to Breakfast anchor Kay Burley remaining in place through the morning.
NBC News Now is distributed in the UK through Sky News and Virgin Media.
In the United States, the network is on track have its best year on record in 2023, after achieving record viewership in 2022, up 50% year over year.
