The supervisory board of KPN in the Netherlands has said it intends to reappoint Joost Farwerck (CEO), Chris Figee (CFO), Hilde Garssen (chief people officer) and Marieke Snoep (chief consumer market) for a new four-year term.
During the AGM on April 17 2024, shareholders will be informed on the intended reappointments.
Commenting on the reappointments, Gerard van de Aast, chairman of the supervisory board, said: “Joost as CEO of the company has shown to be very capable of setting and implementing the company’s strategy. Under his leadership, in close cooperation with Chris, Hilde and Marieke, KPN returned to sustainable growth. In addition, KPN is recognised as a sustainability leader and successfully focused on value creation for all our stakeholders. We are therefore pleased that this team will continue their work for KPN”.
Joost Farwerck added: “I look forward to continue my role as CEO of our fantastic company which is at the heart of society. We have a dedicated and diverse board of management in place and I am excited to continue to work with this team and all our colleagues to successfully execute on the next leg of our strategy”.
Broadband TV News notes that the announcement comes alongside the release of KPN’s results. These show that the company had revenues of €1,363 million in Q3, or 2.2% more than in the same period last year. Adjusted EBITDA AL was€629 million (+1.8%) and net profit €224 million (+6.5%).
