Raimon Trias joins Cellnex

October 23, 2023 10.35 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Cellnex has appointed Raimon Trias the group’s new CFO, effective December 1.

He will also join Cellnex’s executive committee and takes over from José Manuel Aisa, who will leave the group on October 31 as previously announced.

Trias joins Cellnex from Natra Group, where he also held the position of CFO. He has more than 20 years of experience in industrial groups (Natra, Grupo Nueva Pescanova, Celsa) and developed his career in Spain, Poland and the UK.

Commenting on the appointment, Marco Patuano, CEO of Cellnex, said: “Raimon has extensive experience of more than 20 years working in large international industrial groups, whether for companies backed by private capital, family groups or with financial entities as shareholders. He has proven experience in finance, including M&A projects, balance sheet management, changes in shareholding structure, investor relations, financial planning and efficiency and cost control programs. Beyond his financial profile, the operational experience – also as General Director – that has marked different stages of his career is notable. “His excellent management skills include a proven ability to lead teams and work together with the operations and business areas”.

Trias expressed his satisfaction by adding: “for my incorporation into a group that is a European leader in the operation of telecommunications infrastructure and one of the main values of the selective IBEX35 of the Spanish stock market. A group that, since going public in 2015, has become an industrial and financial benchmark that has experienced unprecedented growth and is now focused on the consolidation and full integration of its operations. “We have a clear commitment to our shareholders in terms of driving organic growth, creating value, strengthening the balance sheet and achieving the next investment grade rating”.
