German media company High View will additionally broadcast its FAST Channels Xplore, Hip Trips and One Terra via satellite from March 1, 2023.
Goldbach Germany is handling advertising sales of the free-TV channels, both on DTH satellite and on smart TV and streaming platforms.
“The expansion of distribution to include TV as a mass medium for our very successfully established FAST TV channels is an important step. The reach of the satellite enables us to build relevant coverage for the channels on the big screen. With the combination of TV and CTV we reach for example target groups in different age segments via the different distribution infrastructures,” said Ulrike Unseld, who heads sales and the music portfolio at High View.
Frank Möbius, Managing Director of Goldbach Germany, added: “A content- and target group-oriented combination of classic linear TV and advanced TV is becoming increasingly important for the media mix. We are pleased to be able to market the inventory of the High View channels Xplore, Hip Trips and One Terra in both areas and to jointly tap the growth potential that results from the combination of the distribution infrastructures.”
Xplore shows travel documentaries and reports about people and regions, combined with travel tips and information. Hip Trips offers reports on tours by motorbike, train, car, ship, canoe or bike: world travellers, adventure seekers and long-term travellers report on their experiences. One Terra is dedicated to extraordinary people, stories and encounters, such as journeys, rituals and festivals from all over the world.
In addition to DTH satellite distribution on Astra (19.2° East), the free-TV channels are offered via smart TV and streaming platforms, including LG, Samsung TV Plus, Dailyme, Philips, Rakuten, waipu.tv and Xiaomi.
On Astra, the channels will use the frequency 12.699 GHz V (SR 23,500, FEC 3/4). This is also the home the four new free-TV music channels which High View recently launched under its Deluxe Music brand.
