Ziggo Sport has renewed the rights to the ATP Tour for another three years.
The exclusive agreement was due to expire in 2023, but has now been extended through to 2026. The sports channel will also broadcast the ABN AMRO Open 2023. This weekend, Ziggo Sport will also televise the final of the Dutch National Tennis Championships live, immediately followed by a week of top tennis from the World Tennis League.
The contract covers all nine ATP 1000 tennis tournaments, including matches in Indian Wells, Monte Carlo, Rome and Paris. Ziggo Sport will also broadcast all 13 ATP 500 tournaments, 34 ATP 25 tournaments and the weekly ‘behind the scenes’ TV programme ATP World Tour Uncovered.
“Tennis is one of the biggest and most popular sports in the Netherlands. That’s why, as the biggest sports channel in the Netherlands, we feature a lot of live tennis, and one of our six channels is even entirely dedicated to tennis,” says Marcel Beerthuizen, managing director, Ziggo Sport. “Our new exclusive television contract with ATP assures millions of households of another three seasons of top tennis.”
The finals of the Dutch National Tennis Championships can be seen on Ziggo Sport this weekend.
