Ex-HBO Max executive Anna Putts joins Netflix

October 6, 2022 12.06 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Anna Putts has been appointed the new marketing director of Netflix in Central and Eastern Europe and will take up her new role in the middle of this month.

She will replace Tomek Ebbig, who is leaving the company, and be responsible for creating Netflix’s marketing strategy in the region and promoting its films and series.

Commenting on the appointment, Laura Dyer, interim head of EMEA marketing, Netflix, said: “Anna Putts is joining Netflix at a special moment. Thanks to the opening of the CEE office in Warsaw, we are closer to the local audience and creators than ever before. We are preparing new, exciting film and series stories from the region for our viewers. Anna is an experienced marketer with many successes in building the image of brands and creating conversations around movies and series. We are very happy that she chose Netflix as a place where it will take the next step in her career.

“At the same time, I would like to thank Tom Ebbig, who has been responsible for Netflix’s marketing activities in the region of Central and Eastern Europe in recent years. Working with him was a great pleasure. I wish him good luck in his future career”.

Putts was most recently brand & content marketing director for the HBO Max brand in the Central Europe region, responsible for marketing activities in 12 countries. She successfully managed the entry of HBO Max into the Central European market.

Before HBO, she was at UPC/Liberty Global, where as head of marketing communication she was responsible for activity in five CEE markets, including carrying out UPC rebranding, effectively implementing new values and visual identification of the brand.

She has also worked for companies such as Samsung Electronics Polska and ITI Neovision, operator of the former Polish DTH platform n.
