The premium channels Nova Sport 3 and 4 have attained a total of a million subscribers in the Czech Republic and Slovakia in their first year of operation.
According to Parabola, 600,000 are in the former country and 400,000 in the latter.
It adds that the channels are distributed by the countries’ leading operators and offer viewers coverage of Spain’s LaLiga, Italy’s Serie A and Germany’s Bundesliga.
Parabola notes that the longer-established channels Nova Sport 1 and Nova Sport 2 have much greater reach. In the former’s case, it amounts to 1.2 million subscribers in the Czech Republic and 1 million in Slovakia.
All four channels are operated by TV Nova, one of the leading commercial broadcasters in the Czech Republic.
