Cable’s share of the pay-TV market in Poland is forecast to fall from 36.1% to 27% between 2021 and 2025.
According to the Office of Electronic Communications (UKE), satellite’s share is forecast to rise from 49.5% to 56.5% over the same period.
Meanwhile, IPTV’s will rise from 14.2% to 17.1%.
Alongside these forecasts, produced by UKE, the regulator quotes one by Analysys Mason Datahub that says Poland will loss 600,000 pay-TV subscribers between 2021 and 2025.
However, with 10.1 million, it will still have the third largest number in the EU after Germany (30 million) and France (26 million).
