The Slovak news-based station TA3 has announced changes to its managerial structure following its takeover by the media entrepreneur Michal Voracek, who last month bought a 100% stake from Ivan Kmotrik’s Grabofal Group through his company Blueberg Media.
According to TA3, the first is the appointment of a new project manager named Jan Svoboda.
It adds that Voracek and Svoboda will now be the company’s executives, with Zuzana Martinakova remaining the third executive as the director for news and journalism. Mirjana Hron Sikimic, the current director of TA3, is leaving to work for the management of Grabofal Group.
TA3 says that Svoboda successfully completed similar strategic processes in the company Our Media (originally Perex), where he served as chairman of the board until January 2022. The publishing house, which has the opinion-forming daily Pravda in its portfolio and is currently the fifth strongest internet operator, made a profit after ten years thanks to remedial measures. During his tenure, the publishing house also launched the online stations TV Varecha and TV Pravda, and most recently the media portal Mediaklik.
Commenting on Svoboda’s appointment and success of Our Media, Voracek said: “It was relatively new on the Slovak media market, but it achieved results very quickly, which we did not expect so quickly. I like working with professionals and I know this is the best choice in this case”.
Svoboda said: “The condition of the Our Media publishing house is very good, it has quality management, started processes and earns money, despite the unfavorable pandemic situation. That is why I decided to accept Michal Voracek’s offer for this television project. It is a challenge for me and I believe that I will meet all the expectations within the strategic intentions”.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, TA3 was sold to Prague-based Blueberg Media last month.
