AT&T ended the third quarter with a total of 69.4 million global HBO Max and HBO subscribers.
This, according to the company in its latest set of results, was a 12.5 million increase on a year earlier, with the figure being up 1.8 million sequentially as international and ad-supported subscriber gains were partially offset by HBO Max being discontinued on the Amazon wholesale platform.
At the same time, as of the end of Q3 there were 45.2 million domestic (US) HBO Max and HBO subscribers compared to 38.0 million compared to 12 months earlier, up 7.1 million year-over -year.
Meanwhile, domestic subscriber ARPU was $11.82.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, HBO Max will make its European debut next week.
