Regional programmes broadcast by BBC One in England will finally be available in HD from next month.
All 12 English regions and another three sub regions will be made available in HD on platforms including Sky, Freeview and Freesat. Currently BBC One’s HD feed broadcasts a rolling caption advising viewers to retune for their regional news shows that follow the network’s main bulletins at 1pm, 6pm and 10pm.
The change is scheduled to take place on October 21st, following an announcement earlier this year.
Viewers in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland already have HD versions of BBC One available.
