Abstra rebrands YouTube science channel

April 29, 2020 10.45 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Poland’s leading independent producer of video content for YouTube Abstra has rebranded its science channel “It’s Already Today”.

The most popular such channel on YouTube in Poland, it is produced in cooperation with BNP Paribas Bank and will premiere episodes once a week.

Commenting on the development, Rafal Masny, co-founder of Abstrachuje.tv and channel manager of ‘It’s Today”, said: “What until recently seemed like a distant future, has become a challenge that we have to face today. The current pandemic has only accelerated this process, and neither of us knows in what future we will wake up in a few months. That is why, together with the BNP Paribas Bank, we decided to reactivate the “It’s Already Tomorrow” channel, which I was the creator of, under the name “It’s Already Today”, which is a bit more adequate to current challenges. For a long time I have been very interested in the changes that we have to face as a civilization. I am very happy that I will be able to transform my interests into new episodes on “It’s Already Today” and reach hundreds of thousands of people with them”.

Agnieszka Konarzewska, director of the marketing communication department at BNP Paribas Bank, added: “The challenges we have to face in recent weeks mean that many of us are looking for answers to more and more bothering questions about what our future will be. Young people are looking for such answers primarily on YouTube. We believe that together with Rafal Masny we will create a universal educational medium, thanks to which we will be able to shed a little more light on what the near future hides”.

The “It’s Already Tomorrow” channel was launched on YouTube in 2016. During almost three years of its existence it had more than 150 episodes, which in total reached almost 41 million views and gained 444,000 subscribers.
