December 5, 2019 16.17 Europe/London By Robert Briel

All-premium music video platform Vevo has confirmed that its catalogue of music videos will now be available on Samsung TV Plus.

Vevo will offer five genre-curated linear channels beginning with Vevo Pop, available now. The Vevo Hip-Hop, Vevo Country, Vevo Latino, Vevo R&B channels will launch on Samsung TV Plus at a later date.

Samsung TV Plus is a free ad-supported Smart TV video service, delivering free TV, with access to news, sports, entertainment and more. Pre-installed on all 2016-2019 Samsung Smart TVs, millions of users already use Samsung TV Plus, making it one of the top apps on the Samsung Smart TV platform.

“With over 2.3 Billion monthly global views on TV we are hyper focused on our OTT packaging and distribution strategy. With the largest library of ad-supported music videos we continue to re-define the return of music videos to the living room for our audience and customers,” said Kevin McGurn, Vevo’s President of Sales and Distribution.

“As a global leader in TV, Samsung is an ideal partner for us to enhance our offering; with their scale and reach the Samsung TV Plus service represents enormous opportunities for our clients and partners.”
