OTE-backed Telekom Romania saw its TV subscriber base contract by 5.7% in the year to June 30.
The latest results published by OTE say that it amounted to 1,380,074, with the number of customers falling by 28,873 in Q2 alone.
There was also a 5.9% year-on-year reduction in broadband customers to 1,092,524, while the number of voice customers grew by 0.9% to 2,115,312.
The number of FMC customers stood at 802,511 in Q2, up 34.4% on a year earlier.
Telekom Romania’s total revenues in Q2 amounted to €231.2 million, down 2.8% on the same period last year.
Meanwhile, in OTE’s home market Greece, Cosmote TV grew its subscriber base by 3.4% in the year to June 30, ending Q2 with 543,683. In Q2 alone, it added 3,000 customers.
OTE Group as a whole had revenues of €946.9 million in Q2 (+0.4%).
Its adjusted EBITDA before IFRS 16 was €321.9 million (+1.7%) and adjusted profit to owmers of the parent €98.5 million (+54.1%).
