The Slovak national broadcaster Joj has made its HbbTV application available to Skylink DTH subscribers on Astra 3B at 23.5 degrees East.
Parabola reports that Joj launched its HbbTV service in April last year exclusively to terrestrial TV viewers in Slovakia.
Following the one-year term of exclusivity it will also appear on other platforms, with Skylink being the first. Skylink viewers can now use HbbTV for the TV channels Joj HD, Plus HD, Wau HD and RiK.
Joj’s HbbTV offer currently consists of two items, namely “Best Weather” and “TV Archive”.
The latter, available only in Slovakia, gives access to the last seven days of programmes on Joj Plus and Wau, as well as live broadcast of Joj, Plus and Wau.
