Quickline connects TV and apps via Ultra HD box

December 4, 2018 11.50 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Swiss cable operator group Quickline is now offering its customers an Ultra HD set-top-box that combines classic television with apps.

The app line-up comprises, for example, Netflix, YouTube, Google, Sky, Spotify and DAZN – including personal recommendations.

The TV portfolio features more than 190 TV channels, including over 110 in HD quality, plus 7-day replay and restart. The integrated recording function offers a storage capacity of up to 1,200 hours. More than 2,400 films are available on the video-on-demand service.

The box can be used to view Ultra HD content from providers such as Netflix or YouTube. The Quickline app connects smartphones and tablets.

23 independent network operators are united in the Quickline group, serving a total of around 400,00 households with TV, Internet, telephony and mobile services. Quickline is the third largest TV provider in Switzerland after UPC and Swisscom.
