Telekom Srbija has acquired a 100% stake in Serbia’s second largest cable operator Kopernikus Technology from Abris Capital Partners for an undisclosed fee.
As a result, reports b92, it has increased its TV subscriber base by around 30% and share of the TV market by 7%.
It adds that Kopernikus Technology subscribers will now have access to the latest technologies and content offered by Telekom Srbija, as well as a package of 27 new TV channels.
Kopernikus Technology currently has over 200,000 TV and internet subscribers located in 60 cities throughout Serbia and its triple-play services are available to over 300,000 households. Its customer base has grown by over 25% in the last two years.
Telekom Srbija is currently expanding its presence both in Serbia and in neighbouring countries.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, it has recently been linked with Telekom Albania.
