Carsten Göttel, programme director of Super RTL, is leaving the German children’s and family channel after more than 20 years.
“Carsten Göttel has accompanied the development of our company into the number one children’s entertainment brand from the start and played a key role in this in his function as programme director,” Super RTL’s managing director Claude Schmit said in Cologne.
“The success of the undisputed market leadership in the children’s target group in linear TV can’t be rated high enough in times of increasing fragmentation,” added Schmit. “We very much regret that Carsten is leaving the company and wish him all the best for his professional and private future.”
No information was given on the reason for his departure and his future occupation. A successor has not yet been appointed.
