Panasonic to Support Eurofins Digital Testing’s 4K HDR Ultra HD Certification

September 11, 2018 14.32 Europe/London By Julian Clover

Eurofins has announced that Panasonic has committed to using Eurofins’ 4K HDR Ultra HD logo on its latest range of TVs.Eurofins Digital Testing’s certification and logo scheme identifies TVs that have been fully tested and proven to receive and display High Dynamic Range (HDR), Ultra-High Definition (UHD) and Wide Color Gamut (WCG) content simultaneously, from broadcast and broadband sources, as well as HDMI.

Eurofins Digital Testing’s logo ensures that HDR UHD screens are easily recognisable in the marketplace, and is the only logo covering broadcast and broadband inputs available today. The logo will be visible on applicable 2018 models of Panasonic TVs and will be included on its future models that feature a 4K HDR UHD display.

“Panasonic is committed to creating exceptional 4K HDR UHD TVs, and this certification logo demonstrates our ability to reach the highest levels of performance and quality,” said Yasushi Murayama, Director of TV Europe for Panasonic.

“Panasonic TVs are renowned for exceptional quality, design, and performance,” said Johan Craeybeckx, Business Line Director at Eurofins Digital Testing International. “Achieving this certification and using Eurofins 4K HDR Ultra HD logo is a seal of product excellence, and will make it easier for consumers to instantly recognize the superior quality of the TV they are about to purchase from Panasonic.”

Eurofins Digital Testing’s 4K HDR Ultra HD logo scheme certifies that all qualifying equipment successfully delivers the extended contrast range and colors essential for HDR and WCG, as well as ensuring that the full potential of UHD is met, which offers up to four times the clarity of existing HD services. HDR brings a new dimension to content with vivid, true to life colors, darker blacks and brighter whites.

At IBC 2018, Eurofins will be located at Hall 5, Stand B45.
