Samsung and OTT service beIN Connect offer 4k football

August 25, 2018 14.13 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Samsung Electronics Iberia and beIN Connect, the OTT platform of the Mediapro group, have announced the renewal of their partnership agreement to continue offering LaLiga football content in 4K – UHD quality for the 2018-2019 season.

Real Madrid and FC Barcelona matches will continue to be available in 4K-UHD exclusively in the beIN Connect application for Samsung Smart TV

“With this new agreement, we continue to strengthen our commitment to offering high quality content that meets the demands of consumers and allow us to continue to position ourselves as leaders in the sector,” said Raul Martin, VP of Consumer Electronics of Samsung Spain.

The service is available exclusively in the beIN Connect application of Samsung Smart TV 4K UHD smart TVs compatible with the application (Samsung Smart TV 4K UHD models from the 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 series).

“This alliance allows our clients to continue enjoying the best football with the highest image resolution, a unique experience in which spectators can appreciate all the details of the match as if they were in the stands of the stadium”, comments Ignacio Arrola, Director of Marketing and New Media of Mediapro.

The first Real Madrid – FC Barcelona derby of the 2018 – 2019 season, to be held on October 28th, will be available live on beIN Connect for Samsung Smart TV 4K UHD only in 4K – UHD picture quality.

beIN Connect includes the channels beIN LaLiga, with eight LaLiga matches, always Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, the first Clásico and the Copa del Rey; LaLiga 1|2|3 TV with all LaLiga 1|2|3 and GOL in HD with the open game of LaLiga and the Copa, two LaLiga 1|2|3 matches, women’s and youth football and many more sports disciplines.
