Proximus extends Eleven Sports carriage deal

July 25, 2018 10.27 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Eleven Sports has extended its strategic partnership with Proximus for a further three years in Belgium.

Distribution of all Eleven Sports channels – Eleven Sports 1, 2 and 3 – is guaranteed across all Proximus platforms until 2021, with Eleven Sports remaining the only sports service available in every household in Belgium.

“We are extremely pleased that Proximus subscribers will continue to enjoy the wide range of sports offered by Eleven Sports in the coming three seasons.” said Anouk Mertens, Managing Director, Belgium, Eleven Sports.

“Extending the partnership with Proximus supports our strategy of making premium content available to everyone, ensuring more fans can watch and experience the live action, the expert pitch-side and in-studio analysis and commentary that Eleven Sports have to offer.”

“We are proud of this new deal with Eleven Sports. We want to be able to offer as much live sport as possible to fans and this agreement on broadcasting the three channels of Eleven Sports on all Proximus platforms fits in perfectly with this,” says Boutin Guillaume, Chief Consumer Market Officer at Proximus.

“In addition, the Bundesliga will be added to the package as from this season. And that without price increase.”

Eleven Sports subscribers in Belgium and Luxembourg have access to LaLiga, Serie A, Bundesliga, the English Football League and the Emirates FA Cup as well as following the Belgian Red Devils in their qualifying campaigns for EURO 2020, FIFA World Cup 2022 and the UEFA Nations League. Other sports available across the three HD channels include sports popular in the local market such UFC, Cage Warriors, NBA, EHL hockey, WK Darts, e-Sports and ATP 250 tennis.
