M7 Group’s Dutch subsidiary Canal Digitaal is launching an OTT TV service in the Netherlands.
For a monthly subscription fee starting at €9.95 can watching streaming live channels on smartphone, tablet and laptop. An extended tier costs €14.95, which includes Fox Sports Eredivisie 1 HD. The first month is free.
Although the service is mainly intended for mobile devices, it also offers Chromecast and AirPlay, making the service available on the big screen, including Apple TV4.
In addition, all subscribers to the new service will receive a smart card to receive the Canal Digitaal DTH service at no additional cost.
M7’s move is interesting, as both T-Mobile and KPN terminated their respective OTT services Knippr and Play by KPN recently.
